Melanocortin Melanotan 2 (MT-2) For Appetite Suppression, Weight and Fat Loss

Melanotan 2 (MT-II) is an analog of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (a-MSH). This protein peptide hormone has an effect on body composition, feeding, fatty acid oxidation and metabolism to name a few. MT-II use is common among fitness enthusiasts and now possibly the obese as a melanocortin diet aid.

The central melanocortin system is important in the control of food intake and body weight. Melanotan 2 suppress food after administration. Disruptions in melanocortin receptors (MCR) have been found to be the cause of obesity in some.

Melanocortins have a direct effect on adipocytes through lipid mobilization. Increasing evidence is showing peripheral action of leptin expression in the adipocytes. Future valuable insight in regards to melanocortin peptides could be used to improve insulin sensitivity by stimulating fatty acid oxidation.

Energy balance and food intake are critical pathways that the melanocortin system regulate. The melanocortin system is critical signaling pathway for the actions of adiposity signals such as leptin and insulin. Data shows reduced food intake being primarily responsible for weight loss on Melanotan 2, among other (energy, etc) mechanisms. MT-II reduces food intake until lowered leptin levels are attained. Dosing while fasting could prove to reduce both visceral and subcutaneous adipose compartments.

Robust reductions in food consumption and body weight occur from Melanotan 2. The body adjusts to the energy and food intake through continuous applications. If taken intermittently a user can sustain a appetite reduction after administration. Regardless, both continuous and intermittent MT-II regimens produce body fat and weight reduction. The fourth MCR is conceivably the channel that can stimulate fat oxidation.

Melanotan 2 applications result in remarkable and sustainable weight and fat loss. Learn more at Melanotan Headquarters today!

Fast Food – One Reason You May Be Fat

Hamburger, French Fries, and a Cola. Sounds yummy. Yeah! Go ahead and up size it. Get that biggie fries and 32 oz drink. Might as well add that extra slice of cheese while we’re at it!

Does that sound like the typical American lunch that keeps the ‘Golden Arches’, the ‘King’, or the cute little freckled face ‘Red Head’ in business?

I did some quick research about the calorie and sodium content of the top three fast food restaurants and averaged the results. This is from the normal combo of a regular burger, fries, and cola.

Calories: 1400 – 1600 Fat: 600 – 800 grams. Sodium: 2000 mg.

Now, if you up size that, the calorie content could easily jump to 2000 calories…the fat to 1000 plus grams and 3000 mg. of sodium.

The sugar content could easily top 20 to 25 teaspoons.

Another problem the fast food meal presents is the chemical content of the food. Consider the food modifiers, stabilizers, artificial colors, artificial flavorings, and preservatives that are added.

Then, you have the trans fats that the food is cooked in, the hormones in the meat…need I say more?

If you were on a 2500 calorie a day diet, you just blew it buddy! Nothing else for you today. You have to wait until tomorrow before you can eat again!

But, you say, “I eat the salads.” That is a better choice. But, some of the salads have 1000 calories and 300 to 400 fat grams. That doesn’t count the added dressings and extra cheese you may add to it. Then, I bet you buy the ‘diet’ drink to go with it.

Watch for my up coming post about, ‘The Problems With Colas.”

Most of us visit fast food places at times. I even have my favorite one that I stop at occasionally. We get in a rush, or we don’t have time to cook a meal. That’s just the was life is. Here are a few suggestions that might help.

Chose the salads. If you get a sandwich, chose the chicken over the burger, grilled instead of fried. Water with lemon or tea instead of the colas.

The way to eat a healthy diet is simply changing one thing at a time. Today, instead of the candy bar, eat an apple or banana. Instead of the bag of chips, eat a few almonds or cashews. Opt for the lemon water in place of the cola.

Day by day, as you see the improvements in your health, you will discover these things are easier to do. Congratulations! I am proud of you. You are on your way to a better life.
